One of the best places that I have ever traveled to would have to be San Antonio Texas. The River Walk is one of the most charming places to visit. The amount of culture that is encompassed within this city is impeccable. A few years ago before having my daughter my husband and I set off on many fun trips, this being one of them. Considering that my then fiancé lived in Dallas Texas at the time it only made sense to take a road trip. We had a blast! If you haven’t taken a road trip or your not much of a road trip kinda person. Always start small to get your feet wet (wink).
San Antonio River Walk
I have to say that I have never seen anything quite like the San Antonio River Walk. It’s absolutely the cutest thing. I fell in love with the sites. The best way to describe the river walk in my mind is to describe it as a ride that you would go on at DisneyLand such as Pirates of the Caribbean. Cruising along the river people watching and learning about the history of the River Walk. The River Walk Boat tour is a must!
“Remember The Alamo”
Another enriched piece of history where Davey Crocket and a few other brave men fought for the independence of Texas from Mexico. I absolutely love visiting places that hold American history. Simply because it brings to life everything that we once had learned in grade school and the importance of our American culture. It also brings added value to your life. It’s amazing to look at the architecture of this building and realize it’s still standing.
Regardless of your taste in food the River Walk will not disappoint. There are many different restaurants for many pallets. It all Depends on what you are in the mood for.
One place that we really enjoyed was The Esquire Tavern. The oldest bar on the River Walk that opened its doors in 1933 at the end of prohibition. If you’re anything like me and my husband, we enjoy great food and a well crafted drink. This place is known to create the best cocktails in the city! Don’t mind if I do.. If you’re into mixology allow a mixologist to make you drink! or “fancy cocktails” (as my husband says). Look no further you’ve come to the right place. I can totally appreciate presentation when it comes to food and cocktails. Absolutely delicious..
Being able to visit different places and relish in its beauty has always been the best part about traveling for me, regardless of where it is. Traveling enriches your soul. Do things that make you a better person and love what you do. Xoxo Real Unicorn Mom
